Economics Department mini mini postgraduate conference

The Economics Department hosted a mini mini postgraduate conference for its students on the 22nd of April as a build-up to the annual Postgraduate conference which will be hosted on the 5th of August at UWC. The conference was aimed at providing a platform for postgraduate Honours and Masters students to showcase their excellent research and receive feedback and comments from staff members and their peers. The conference was a big success and presenters were provided with ample feedback during the question and answer segments. Topics ranged from gender parities in schooling, monetary policy shocks and exclusion of Black women in the haircare industry. The conference was coordinated by Mr Michael J. Meyer.
