The SARB visits the Department of Economics as part of their outreach programme

A delegation from the South African Reserve Bank (SARB)'s Economic Research Department recently visited Stellenbosch University as part of their outreach programme. After a courtesy visit to the offices of the Bureau for Economic Research (BER), the delegation did a presentation for the staff and students from the Department of Economics. The presentation focused on the role and mandate of the SARB and included a discussion on training and career opportunities at the SARB, followed by a Q&A session. Lively discussions and engagements took place during the Q&A session (and afterwards), which made it a very enriching experience for staff and students. We are very grateful to the SARB for creating opportunities like these for our students and staff and we look forward to future engagements.
