Stellenbosch professor president of ESSA

Stan du Plessis, professor in Economics, takes up the presidency of the Economics Society of South Africa at the beginning of 2011 for the first of a two-year term. ESSA is a professional and scholarly association of South African economists with the goal of encouraging research and providing for the needs of both private sector and academia. As president, Stan takes the lead in organising the biennial conference to be held in Stellenbosch later this year. Find more info about the conference here.
