Tito Mboweni to visit Stellenbosch

The governor of the South African Reserve Bank, Tito Mboweni, will visit Stellenbosch on October 2 to make his annual first-year lecture on campus. Mr Mboweni is currently serving a second term as governor of the SARB, having been appointed in 1999. The inflation targeting framework of the Reserve Bank is continuously in the media spotlight, and it is expected that Mr Mboweni will address the future monetary policy and economic outlook in his lecture. Mr Mboweni is an honorary professor in the Department of Economics.
