Prof Stan du Plessis recently delivered a lecture as part of the University's Stellenbosch Forum series. In his lecture, he considered the likely paths of fiscal debt and sustainability over the medium term, concluding that some adjustment will be needed to prevent serious fiscal difficulty in coming years.
